MISSONI AND SIMONETTA SIGN A LICENSING AGREEMENT FOR KIDS CATEGORY

Milan, 9 May 2022 – Simonetta, leading Italian childrenswear company, and Missoni, the luxury lifestyle brand founded in 1953 by Ottavio and Rosita Missoni, announce a partnership agreement for the creation of the Missoni Kids’ line. Based on a multi-year agreement, Simonetta will manage the development, production and worldwide distribution of the Missoni line, starting from the Spring/Summer 2023 collection.

The key partnership between the two Italian companies, which share common values in terms of tradition, research and know-how, will result in the debut of the Missoni Kids’ Collection, embodying the timeless style, bright and cheerful aesthetics, and contemporary creativity of the brand in outfits tailored to kids’ tastes and character.

The partnership will allow both parties to combine creative inspiration with crafted experimentation, joined in their respect of tradition and innovation, in accordance with the character and strong identity of Missoni.

Missoni is a collection for girls and boys aged from 4 to 14 years old, complete with an exclusive nursery capsule gift box (3-12 months), and is distributed in selected multi-brand retailers and department stores worldwide. The Spring/Summer 2023 collection consists of a Main Collection, in modern Missoni style, and two capsule collections dedicated to mini-me looks and beachwear. Iconic outfits are coloured up with the brand’s zig-zag pattern, while knitwear, sweatshirts and t-shirts have fun with prints, shot jersey and the lure of the ever-popular rust colours. The vibrant zigzag wave becomes the fil rouge of the Missoni Kids’ Collection, interpreted in a playful way with relief prints and multi-colour embroidery. The Party Mood is the smartest segment for special occasions: romantic and modern outfits, destructured suits in crimped fabrics and enhanced with psychedelic micro-patterns.
